Add a review of the park of monkeys in Tenerife

Monkey Park - not the most popular in Tenerife (at least compared to Loro Park and Siam Park). But if you love lemurs, you definitely should be here. Plus, the nice difference between the park of monkeys and the park of parrots is that in the first you can communicate with animals very close. This is completely safe, so visiting the monkey park will bring a lot of fun to children.

Monkey Park was opened in 1991 primarily as an entertainment center. But not its last goal is to breed those animals that are endangered. The park specializes in primates, which thanks to an excellent climate live here on air all year round. The main inhabitants of the park are, of course, monkeys and lemurs. In addition to them, alligators, turtles and monitor lizards live here, as well as parrots and toucans.

To be honest, feeding animals is almost an obligatory aspect of visiting the park: the animals will not look at you without food.

The territory of the park is not large , and it is impossible to get lost in it: you will hardly spend 3-4 hours here. The route for visitors passes through the contact zone, where you can get to know the animals closer, the alligator swamp and the reptile zone, the zone of small and large primates, and then - exotic birds. While visiting the park you can see lemurs of several species, including ring-tailed, chimpanzee and a variety of monkeys. In addition, there are live iguanas in the park, which can be fed from the hands.

In the middle of the day, lemurs eat up and want to not chat with visitors, but doze; so come better in the morning or close down.

To be honest, feeding animals is almost an obligatory aspect of visiting the park: without food, animals will not look at you simply . But if you did not come empty-handed, you can be sure that the lemurs in the literal sense of the word will sit on your neck, or even try to climb into your pocket or pull off the bag . Treats are sold at the entrance to the park, but you can bring them with you; for example, leaf lettuce, grapes with apples or biscuits for parrots . Lemurs and monkeys adore bananas with dates, but get fat from them, so these fruits at the entrance to the park are taken away from visitors .

Do not try to forcibly feed or caressing lemur: they are charming and socialized, but they bite.
