Like I Orotava, Icod de los Vinos is a typical old Canarian city, originated in the 16th century thanks to the Spaniards, with traditional architecture, rather impressive mansions, several churches and, of course the wooden balconies . All the old buildings are gathered nearby in the center of the city and you can see them in an hour or two . Among the historical and architectural beauties of Ikod, the Pyla Square, one of the most picturesque squares Canar . It is built up with old mansions, among which Cassa de los Kasieres is located, in which the museum is now open . Here is also a small botanical garden of Ikosa . Nearby is the church of St. Mark, built on the site of the ancient guanasque sanctuary .

The city of Icod de los Vinos has its name (more precisely, the extension to the simple "Icod") is not just . It is located among the hilly slopes on which vineyards grow and is surrounded by sugar plantations .
