To the 100th anniversary of the writer in 1975 . on the picturesque street of Embankment a monument of gray granite was created, created by the sculptor-spouses T . G . Welzen and C . E . Lebedev under the project of architect A . . Kulikova . At first its installation was planned at the facade of the Tambov hotel, however the large building would obscure it and suppress it with its size . Therefore it was decided to deploy the monument and establish it on the high steep bank of the channel of the Tzna River - the one that the writer sang in his creativity and even added to his name pseudonym Tsensky . The city also has a street bearing the writer's name .
