It's great to unwind after a marathon on the historical attractions of Detroit by visiting the local zoo. And it does not matter whether you are traveling with children or just an adult company. The inhabitants of the zoo in Detroit conquer the hearts of all visitors. Who can you see here? Bears, tigers, rhinoceroses, kangaroos, crocodiles, penguins, a whole family of snakes, frogs and turtles - this is not a complete list of residents of the Detroit zoo. There is even a separate section where only butterflies are located

After a long excursion without leaving the Detroit Zoo, you can rest and have a snack in one of the eight cafes available here.

Animals in the Detroit Zoo can be photographed, but without a flash. By the way, it is also possible to feed, but only giraffes and solely the food given to you by the staff of the zoo (note, it is paid - 5 USD).

Working hours: daily 9:00 - 17:00 (April - September), 10 : 00 - 17:00 (October), 10:00 - 16:00 (November - March). The Detroit Zoo is closed to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Zoo in Detroit

Entrance: 14 USD, for tourists over 62 years old and for children (up to 14 years): 10 USD, for children under 2 years free of charge. Please note that parking near the Detroit Zoo paid - 6 USD, for buses - 12 USD. The zoo also has entertainment: a ride riding simulator, a 4D movie theater (5 USD) and various carousels (2 USD).

After a long excursion without leaving the Detroit Zoo, you can take a break and have a snack in one of eight available here is a cafe. For example, in Arctic cafe, known as eco-café, you can try a variety of vegetarian and ordinary dishes made from organic products.

By the way, even the dishes in this institution are made with the observance of eco-rules - from potato starch and soybean oil.
