St. George's Cathedral, not counting the St. Michael's Archangel Monastery, is the main attraction of St. George's. The white-stone church was erected here almost 800 years ago by the grandson of Yuri Dolgoruky - Prince Svyatoslav Vsevolodovich. According to historians, St. George's Cathedral is the last church (it was founded in 1230), which was built in Rus before the Tatar-Mongol invasion.
