This is the largest man-made park in Europe. The Kislovodsk expanses cover a thousand hectares of greenery, from the city center to the peaks of the Big and Small Saddle Mountains. From the height of the cable car there is a beautiful view of the park. True, more than 5-6 times a day to ride it is not necessary - the body will not allow.
The park appeared in 1823. Because of the curative narzan, the place was advantageous and attractive, but not quite beautiful. Then they decided to plant everything here with trees. Gradually, Lower, Middle and Upper Parks began to appear.
Later exotic trees from all over Russia were brought to Kislovodsk. Today the park has about 300 species of trees and shrubs. And some species do not coexist in the wild. And here - please!
In the park there are interesting constructions - Cascade staircase, colonnade of the main entrance, galleries and pavilions. The Temple of the Air deserves special attention. They say that on the place where the temple stands - the most healing air in all of Kislovodsk. True, the temple needs a good restoration, because for a hundred years the building has been excruciatingly exhausted.
