An impressive collection of distillers and a whole multistage battery of bottles of Russian vodka is the basis of the exposition of the Museum of the Library of Russian Vodka in Uglich. A curious "drink" will find out a lot of interesting things here, for example, as in the old days the volume of the hot one was measured, and it will be able to see first-hand the famous 7 kg medal, to which Tsar Peter I rewarded especially outstanding drunkards. And for the guests of the museum there is a tasting of several varieties of vodka and a shop where you can buy the samples you like.
The choice of Uglich as a place of such a specific museum is not accidental - it was here that the "vodka king" of Russia Peter Smirnov was born. His business is still alive, as evidenced by the collection of more than a thousand varieties of this drink, almost hundreds of Russian factories, some of them number more than a hundred years of history. Among other interesting exhibits of the museum - the first filling machine and a lot of moonshine machines of all shapes and sizes, as well as old bottles and labels and gift vodka from around the world.
