The top of Monte Rosa, the second highest in Europe, towers above the five valleys: Antagnon, Shampoluc, Brusson, Gressoney La Trinite, Gressoney-Saint- John (Gressoney St.Jean). The valleys form a single skiing area, covering 130 km of trails. In general, this resort is designed for tourists who prefer a quiet rest.

Monte Rosa is a relatively young resort that continues to develop actively, paying attention to modern technologies that help its guests avoid queues at the ski lifts.

Alanya-Valsesia - a picturesque town with limited opportunities for entertainment . Some believe that this is the "hidden pearl" of the Alps: you just have to get off the paved trails, as freelancing hikers find themselves on huge snowfields. In general, Alanya is a place for serious skating. An alternative to him in Italy is only Arabba.

Gressoney-San John is located slightly away from the ski lifts, but in Gressoney-la-Trinit, you can ride straight from the door. San John is the larger of the two towns, there are more restaurants, shops and hotels. Skiing in Gressoney is best suited for skiers and beginners.

Champoluc - a quiet resort (except for the first week of January, when the half-Turin comes there), most suitable for skiers of the average level. There is a children's ski school there

Monte Rosa Routes

There are not too many opportunities for professionals here. These are the Chamoix and Sehorn-Gabiet trails in the Gressoney-San John Valley. But at skiers of an average level a choice very rich: Champoljuk and Gressoney-La-Trinite, many long lines. Beginners are suitable for skiing Champoluc and Gressoney-San John, where there are many easy slopes. Also the valley of Antagnon is good.

The local slopes and ski lifts are convenient for snowboarders, but there are no snow parks here

Entertainment, excursions and attractions

26 bars, 55 restaurants and a nightclub will not bore the guests of the resort. It is worth to visit the bars of Ca Nosta and Caffe del Centro in Alanya, Gram Parson Disco (open on weekends), Bristot, 11 Golosone Pub and Cafe Rimbaud in Champoluc - with open fire and delicious cocktails. The resort also has a swimming pool, a sports center, an ice rink, dog sledding and horses.
