Hampi (Hampi) is a small village in the north of the Indian state of Karnataka. World fame brought to this place the ruins of Vijayanagar, the former capital of the Vijayanagar Empire. Here are many monuments that were once part of the ancient city, which are now included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Since the village of Hampi is located in the center of the Vijayanagar ruins (which, by the way, occupy over 26 square kilometers), it is often identified with the ruined city itself.
Every Hampi Utsav, all ruins and monuments on the territory of the reserve are highlighted in the night, traditional music plays, bright performances are held

Transportation
Perhaps, one of the most convenient ways to inspect all of Hampi's wealth is to hire a scooter . Since the distances between some objects reach 5 km, and the sun in this region of the country roasts mercilessly, it is not even worth trying to examine all this "on your own two" . Scooter cost ~ 150-200 INR . For a day, an average liter of gasoline (65-75 INR), if you stay only in Hampi territory, and about 2 liters, if you go to Tungabhadra (15 km) . @ Not a bad option, but not the cheapest, take an individual guide who will make the company on a scooter and will show all the main attractions .
Here you can also rent bicycles, but this is a very doubtful pleasure. Hampi is quite hilly, and the temperature usually rises above +30 ° C.
Another option to inspect Hampi is to hire a rickshaw (tuk-tuk). In this case, the cost should be stipulated in advance and bargain immediately for the whole day (~ 400-500 INR). And then hire an official guide in the tourist office, the cost of services is fixed: 500 INR for 4 hours, 800 INR for 8 hours
The most expensive option is to rent a car in Hospet: Hamsa Tours & Travels (tel .: 083-94 -228-01-01, 984-520-55-89); Pushpa Tours & Travels (tel .: 083-94-241-958, 944-879-51-20). Cost ~ 750-1000 INR per day.

Boats ply only until 18:00, if you do not have time to get to your beach before this time, you will have to "cut a circle" in 40 km, circling the river.
