Arambol (Arambol) is the largest and most adapted for tourism coastal village on the northern coast of Goa. This resort is popular mainly with "savage tourists": junkies, transers, freaks and hippies. During the day, kites are launched, kites are ridden, meditations are conducted, yoga is practiced in the evenings, fire-shows are trained.
Although Arambol is considered one of the most remote places to relax in the northern part of Goa, in high season, from November to March, it is crowded .In winter, those who want to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city civilization and enjoy the short but picturesque sea sunsets come here from all over the world . Partially rocky coast, soft waves, wide coastline and palm groves create a relaxing atmosphere . Tranquility is disturbed only by a few fishermen and small restaurants, concentrating mainly around a kind of local central "street" and almost at the very edge of the water . Undeveloped tourist infrastructure and lack of supporters of trips with " included "adds to this place a special, semi-bohemian charm almost lost by the resorts in the southern coast area .

By taxi
The most convenient way to get from the airport to the beach is by taxi. The cost of such a trip is from 1000 INR. Also by taxi you can get to Arambol from other places. For example, from another resort town on the northern coast called Vagator. Taxi Vagator - Arambol will cost 300-400 INR.
By bus
There are several ways to get there by public transport to the resort. One thing unites them - numerous transplantations and cheapness in comparison with a taxi ride.
The first way is to cross the road and catch the bus to the intersection bearing the name of the famous pioneer, Vasco da Gama . The journey time to the destination is about 10 minutes . Then, going to the stop (landmark - bus station) next to the market, find transport to Panaji . You will have to get to it on the shuttle or express train which differs from the usual buses by the absence of stops . Travel time - about half an hour . From the last one you can get directly to Arambol or go to Mapusa . The first option is rather difficult, as these flights are extremely rare, therefore it is better immediately choose a different route . Arambola from Mapusa runs a bus (12 INR), which stops at 1, 5 km from the beach, on the main road .
The second way is all the same, but before the crossroads of Vasco- yes-Gama you go on foot or take a taxi.
Arambola Hotels
In Ramboll only one three-star hotel, the service is enough for you to change your underwear every day, clean small room and provide free internet. If desired, you can eat there. Prices correspond to those that are in the coastal cafe. The fenced area and the presence of the pool are the main advantages. The minus is not the "first line" and the proximity of the motorway. Cost from 950 INR per day.
Basically, those who wish to relax in Arambol rent a bungalow, separate houses or so-called guesthouses. The most expensive option is a house, the rental of which is desirable to take care in advance. The highest prices for housing during the winter holidays, December-January. Also, the cost of renting a house is affected by such factors as proximity to the sea, size of living quarters, furnishings.
Bungalows or small huts will cost between 300 and 1000 INR per night. In this case, the cost of living affects the proximity to the sea, the presence or absence of any amenities (such as a shower), the duration of the expected rest and time of arrival.
Cuisine and restaurants
At Arambol you will not stay hungry. Numerous beach cafes or shelves, and small restaurants on the main street to the services of holidaymakers. Behind the unpresentable appearance of the local public catering is a tasty kitchen, which does not leave even the gourmets indifferent.
Shopping and shops
Arambol shops and shops provide a full range of various memorable trifles. Souvenirs, incense, traditional clothing - this is the minimum that will offer local traders. As elsewhere, it's better to bargain. It is possible to reduce the cost by 25%, and even 50%.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions Arambola
The northern part of the resort is more developed - there are many restaurants, cafes and bars. In the south - a little less, but find a place to eat all the same it will not be difficult. Most of the inhabitants of Arambol often go to Anjuna - to the market and just in search of entertainment. However, and there is something to do.
Passing along the road leading through the cape to the north, you can reach the wide strip of soft white sand, surrounded on both sides by steep rocks. A little to the north of the coastal strip is a freshwater lake, fed by hot springs. Here, a huge tree grows, under which the "baba" (sage) sits, you can bring him fruit and talk to him as a gift. A little further, a 20-minute walk along the lake, you can see a small temple.
