The Senckenberg Museum (Naturmuseum Senckenberg) is the second largest museum of natural history in Germany and is especially popular among children due to the large collection of dinosaur skeletons. The museum houses the largest and one of the most diverse collections of stuffed birds in the world - about 2 thousand copies. Fossils of the Eocene epoch from the Messel fishery, water and terrestrial insects, birds, amphibians and reptiles, mammals and plants are also represented here
