Add a review about the monument to the founders of Odessa

In 1900, Odessa citizens thanked the founders of the city - from Catherine II, who commanded "the city and port to be", to the designer of the future city of Franz de Volan. In honor of them a monument was erected, which several times changed its dislocation. First he stood on Ekaterininskaya Square, then, in the Soviet era, he was transferred to the museum of local lore, and only after almost 90 years he returned to his rightful place.

Unfortunately, the figure of the empress was left with one bust, so Catherine had to be cast again . In October 2007, Ekaterininskaya Square acquired its former, complete look and unique color.

Address: Odessa, Ekaterininskaya Square.
