Its ideologist was again made by Zhvanetsky. The writer claimed that the city is based on four pillars: trade, fleet, medicine and art. Sculptor Alexander Knyazik placed three of them at the feet of Odessa-mama, and the fourth was presented in the form of a headdress that swells like a sail. The bronze mommy presses her favorites to her breast: Devolan, Richelieu, Vorontsov, Deribas, Langeron.
