The Cat Museum in Lloret de Mar, located near the central promenade and the City Hall, has been around for a long time. It was opened by Russian immigrants Vera Novoselova and Alexander Gvozdev in 2002. It will be interesting for adults and children in the Cat House.
On the three floors of the large mansion the owners of the museum placed more than 6 thousand exhibits. Such a number of cats in one place is hardly anywhere else you can see. Here there are figurines of cats made of ceramics, wood, porcelain, silver, paintings depicting these animals, ornaments, bells, household items and much more. Even on the walls are painted cats.
The creators of the cat museum in Lloret de Mar are great fans of these pets. "I always really wanted to get a kitten at home," says Vera. "But since our family was forced to move all the time, I simply could not realize my dream." After a while, Ms. Novoselova began to travel a lot. From every trip she tried to bring some object with a picture of a pussy. Often, the woman found unusual souvenirs at flea markets and in antique shops.
The cat museum in Lloret de Mar can boast of even very rare exhibits of the 18th century. "In the museum you can trace the atmosphere of the relationship between pets and humans for several centuries," the owners of the collection say.
