Add a review about Olekminsky Reserve

For many, Yakutia is a kind of edge of the world, the boundary of the universe and the oikumene . A place where it's extremely difficult to get to, and if a rare traveler is thinking about visiting these lands, he is highly respected among others . Well, in many ways it is . But after all remoteness and inaccessibility is not the reason to refuse a wonderful trip, but rather, on the contrary, a kind of challenge . Having decided upon it, it is necessary to think about visiting one of the most interesting Olekminsky . It is named after the river that carries its dark but transparent waters through the ancient and severe northern landscapes . By itself, in these parts lives a lot of bears, elk, deer and other representatives of the animal of the world, and landscapes fascinate everyone who stepped on its frozen soil .

With a roar and a roar, periodically overcoming huge stone blocks falling into the river from the Aldan plateau, the Olekma river carries its waters. But here the picture changes dramatically when the stormy river gradually expands, calms down and as if spreads its gorges, pouring into the open spaces of the Prilensky plateau. Here, the stone walls in which Olekma was enclosed turn into not very high, but still very steep cliffs, overgrown with forests.

Another waterway crossing the reserve is the Amga. The river carries its own waters from the Aldan uplands to the north. So, just the headwaters of this river are considered to be the most inaccessible in the reserve, and, therefore, one of the most interesting.
With a roar and a roar, periodically overcoming huge stone blocks falling down in the river from the Aldan highland, the Olekma river carries its waters.

The fauna of Southern Yakutia as a whole, and Olekminsky reserve in particular, is very diverse. The fauna of the national park is characteristic for mountainous reliefs: here mammals and fish live only about 40 and 180, respectively. There are even two representatives of reptiles and three amphibians.

Those who will manage to set foot in these protected areas can only be envied - they can personally see the landscape of prehistoric times. Surprisingly fabulous and even somehow ominous and mystical look constantly formed here kurums. This is an eerie kind of stone streams that creep from the river, reaching the forested high banks. Many of them reach several kilometers in length, and tens of meters wide.

Despite the common stone-arboreal stern appearance, you can stroll through the natural meadow, especially in the mouths of rivers. Although, frankly speaking, the expression "walk" in this case is a clear exaggeration, since the width of these very meadows, formed in the most incredible way in permafrost conditions, does not exceed 15 m.

Of course, the main character of the reserve is this river Olekma , the largest tributary of the Lena. It is inhabited by rare nelma and vendace, around the huge moose graze, to its waters come powerful brown bears - the main characters of all films that shoot about the reserve scientists. In addition, here is found the wapiti, from one name which is a fairy tale and something extraordinary. And also the graceful reindeer, lemming, sable, squirrel, wolverine and many others
