The monument is made in human growth and without a pedestal, so anyone can sit on a bronze bench with a veteran. The model for the monument to the sculptor V. Kulaev was Tambovchanin Ivan Stepanovich Odarchenko.

It is known that it was not a novelty to pose the sculptor Ivan Stepanovich Odarchenko - in 1949 it was Ivan Stepanovich who posed for the sculptor Vuchetich at the creation of the famous monument to the Soldier-Liberator in Treptow Park Berlin.
