Strangely enough, the Kamyshlinsky Falls, strictly speaking, can not be called a natural landmark. In 1930 the Kamyshli estuary was specifically altered by constructing a dam in the old river bed and digging a new one so that the water passed in its path a height difference. This was done in order to get the opportunity to build a mill on Kamyshl. In the war years the mill was turned into a sawmill, and subsequently closed. But until now, you can find remains of rafted logs nearby, during the river.

Some guides ignore the Soviet past and are happy to tell the "old local legend" about the formation of the waterfall. In the story there are also unhappy lovers, and a cruel father, and the death of the whole trinity.

There are several hiking trails from different points to the waterfall. The widest, from the shore of Katun, is used mainly by those who rafts by canoes along the river past the waterfall. In addition, you can visit the Kamyshlinsky Falls during other excursions: horse or even winter. You can walk around the cascades by being in comfortable shoes. The waterfall is especially beautiful in the fall, in winter it freezes. In the summer, the most daring can even swim in its streams.
