This literary museum occupies an old wooden house, located 40 km from Cherepovets, in the village of Vladimirovka. The building is easy to drive without noticing: it is rather modest. The house was built by the uncle of the famous Russian poet of the Silver Age Igor Severyanin, Mikhail Lotarev. Today the Vladimirovka estate is the only museum dedicated to Severyanin's art in Russia
The house was built in 1899 at the meeting place of the rivers Suda and Kemza. The future poet, Igor Lotarev, often visited his uncle while studying at the Cherepovets school. After the revolution, the estate was nationalized, the property of the owners was launched with a hammer, and the poet himself emigrated abroad. Until 1996 the house was occupied by a sanatorium, but already in 1993 the exhibition devoted to the poet was opened in it. And then the whole estate was handed over to the Museum Association of Cherepovets. The first exhibits of the museum were the gifts of the poet's relatives and connoisseurs of his talent
The building of the master's house is numbered among the objects of cultural heritage and protected by the state . This building, in which the influence of the Art Nouveau style can still be traced, was damaged in time, but on the mezzanine windows up to the carved decorative elements are still preserved, and inside there are beautiful tiled stoves and old elements of the interior . Previously the house had a balcony, but, unfortunately, it was destroyed in the Soviet era . . the restoration of the building started in 2009; in particular, repaired stoves . On the territory of the manor there are other buildings, such as a bathhouse or a house of servants . The area of the estate park is two hectares .
By itself, the village of Vladimirovka serves as a place of attraction for creative people. Here, for many years, artists who visit, including the estate, gather. Thanks to them, the museum was enriched with a small collection of contemporary art objects, paintings and drawings. During the summer months, many painters can be seen around the estate, thanks to which the amazing nature of these places becomes known not only in Russia, but also abroad.
The museum organizes various public events: festivities, festivals, exhibitions. Evenings of romances are arranged in the big living room. A number of sports and playgrounds for children are located nearby.
