The recently opened Gino Valle Square became the largest in Milan. It is located in the north-west of the city, in the Portello area.
The square was named after the famous Italian designer and architect Gino Valle. The streets adjacent to the square also bear the names of architects associated with Milan, Ignazio Gardellet and Aldo Rossi
In the center of Gino Valle the bas-relief of the artist Emilio Isgro was opened, which was created specially for the square and handed over to the city on a gratuitous basis.
At the inauguration of the new square, Vice Mayor for City Planning Ada Lucia de Cesaris said that this is an example of urban development that combines the latest trends in contemporary art, architecture and urban development.
