Directly above the Bat-Galim Promenade, at the foot of Mount Carmel, is the Museum of Illegal Immigration and the Navy of Haifa. This is a fairly extensive museum with many exhibitions, including two decommissioned ships and a submarine, which can be examined from the inside. The museum is under the authority of the Navy and the Ministry of Defense of Israel, so do not be surprised that security at the entrance will require your documents.
After walking behind the security booth, visitors watch a short video presentation that gives an approximate picture of the history of the Israeli fleet. After that, their eyes show a decent collection of objects related to immigration and the sea: marine maps, photographs, notes and souvenirs. A catalog of military medals and insignia is also presented here.
