Fragrant plantations of spices are the highlight of the state of Goa, and indeed of India as a whole. So visit the homeland of vanilla, cloves and cardamom, immerse your nose in fragrant herbs, enjoy dishes that are generously flavored with exotic bright powder - the local must-do! It's up to you to choose a suitable plantation. A lot of such "herb gardens" are scattered all over the state. Here, by the way, you can see how pineapples and papaya, cashews and coconuts grow.
It is better, of course, to buy an excursion to one of the spice plantations, for example, in a street travel agency. Then in the list of entertainment there will also be a walk on the elephant, and lunch, and belly dances. The second option is to go yourself. Dancing with elephants in this case, too, can be, but not iron.

The most popular spice plantations in Goa are:
- Sahakari Spice Farms 2 kilometers from Ponda, the center of Goa. Here you can book a tour of 2, 5 hours, which includes the same dance, climbing the palm trees (master class from the staff and the opportunity to repeat), elephant riding (if you are lucky - also bathing with an elephant), as well as lunch in the restaurant.
- Savoi Plantation Plantation, where, in addition to the excursions, rent out rooms for rent.
- Pascoal spice farm 10 km from Ponda (here you can also book a tour and rent a room).
- Another plantation in 10 kilometers from Ponda - Tropical Spice Plantation. They say that it is the most photogenic of all, there is even a lake with a bridge - just have time to take pictures.
By the way, organized excursions to spice plantations also often include a visit to Dudhsagar waterfall or check-in to some other sight along the way. As a bonus, so to speak.

it really is so, on the way to spice plantations we stopped at Dudhsagar waterfall, I visited this place for the second time, but still enjoyed the beautiful picture of the waterfall and was struck by its unusualness.
And now in a short time we were at the Tropical ... Read the whole review
