This is a relatively new attraction of Dusseldorf - the embankment was laid as a promenade along the Rhine in the late 20th century. Its author is the architect Nicklaus Fritschi. Soon the embankment received the award as the best example of town planning in Germany
Here are some remarkable architectural and historical objects: the concert hall, the town hall, the Burgplatz square, the baroque buildings of the 18th century and the houses.
The quay is a favorite place for walks of local residents and tourists. What are the only bridges over the Rhine. They can be admired for many hours. Not for nothing that these bridges are called works of art.
In the embankment area there is an interesting landmark of the city - a tower with a height of more than 200 meters. At its three levels there are television and parabolic antennas, and just below there are an observation deck and a restaurant. The site periodically rotates 180 degrees for a better view of the city.
Not far from the tower there is another remarkable building - this is the office of one of the advertising agencies of Germany, which was invented by the architect Frank Gary. The building resembles a piece of ice
