The exposition of the Dresden Arms Chamber (Rüstkammer), also known as the Dresden Historical Museum, is represented by the world-famous collection of ceremonial weapons, armor, historical textiles and portraits dating from the 16th and 18th centuries. The collection of the museum includes more than 10 thousand exhibits, and its basis was more than 2 thousand swords, sabers, swords, daggers, historical firearms, as well as about 1,400 pistols and 1,600 rifles.
