Every Russian, as well as lovers of Russian literature, knows the history of the world-famous Russian writer-prose writer Nikolai Leskov about the master Levsha from Tula who shook a steel flea in England.
In 1998, near the Prague Strahov Monastery, in the Prague Castle complex, in front of the Toy Museum, a small original but unfortunately not very well-known private miniature museum (muzeum miniatur), the only one of its kind .
The main place in the museum is, to echno, the same flea, which gave rise to the artist's career in the miniatures, and the smallest book in the world (less sq. mm), in which at thirty of the finest pages of birch bark posted a story by Anton Chekhov "Chameleon". This book was added to the Guinness Book of Records in 1997.
The museum exhibits a unique exposition with the works of modern Left-hander from Omsk, teacher and artist, a specialist in microminiature technique Anatoly Konenko, who Leskov's story inspired the repetition of incredible work Tula masters . Anatoly started work in 1981 . and for 7, 5 years he not only shod the hind legs of an ordinary flea with gold horseshoes, but also put in gold gold micro-knives, micro-keys and micro-scraps into its front legs . After that, Other works by Levshy from Siberia, which already became exhibits of exhibitions organized by him, arouse genuine interest of visitors. .
In the late 1990s, guest of the exhibition Anatoly Konenko was the President of the Czech Republic, who was so impressed by the work of the miniaturist, that he invited the master to arrange a permanent exhibition of the best works in Prague. And soon the Prague Miniature Museum opened for its first guests the doors of its two rooms in a modest medieval house
Microminiatures Anatoly Konenko
Forty microminiature masterpieces can be seen only with magnifying glass, lenses or under a microscope under special lighting, otherwise it is impossible for the naked eye The main place in the museum is, of course, the same flea that gave rise to the creative path of the master in microminiature, and the smallest book in the world (less than a square millimeter), in which the thinnest thirty from the birch bark, there is the story of A. P. Chekhov "Chameleon". This book was added to the Guinness Book of Records in 1997.
There are still very interesting exhibits: a caravan of camels in the needle's needle, a grasshopper, a fiddler on a violin, a one-hundred-thousand-fold volume model of the Eiffel Tower (height 3, 2 mm) , a tiny train with a train and trains on a dragonfly's mustache, written on a human hair of prayer, two sailboats on a mosquito wing.
In addition, the collection contains copies of paintings by great artists made on centimeter-long square plates of mammoth ivory bones ("The Girl with a fan "Re Varus, "Danae" by Rembrandt, "Madonna Litta" Leonardo da Vinci and others), worthy of the originals. There are Konenko's own ideas that were put into practice: a portrait of Chekhov on a poppy seed, a portrait of Beethoven on an apple bone.
All this causes admiration, perplexity, even shock, to some extent, literally among all who come here. This museum deserves to be acquainted with it, especially as the museum's collection is constantly replenished with new and unique works
