Now in his collection more than 2 thousand exhibits created by famous Czech sculptors in 11-20 centuries (František Xavier Leder, František Maximilian Brokoff and others authors ), including the original sculptures of the Charles Bridge (Karluv most), statues from the Old Town Tower, sculptures of Loreta, the statue of Vyšehrad and others. More than four hundred exhibits are on display, the rest are placed in special storage.
The collection of Prague's "Lapidarium" is rich, unique and diverse. In the first rooms of the museum visitors can get acquainted with the methods of extraction, the designation and processing of special rocks used for the creation of stone sculptures, and with the methods of restoration of damaged stone artifacts.

In all eight magnificent halls of "Lapidarium" in strict chronology sculptures from the early The Middle Ages up to the era of romanticism, having a huge historical value. In the numerous masterpieces from the stone of the original execution (statues of the Charles Bridge, columns, portals, fragments of walls, fountains, ceilings of buildings, castle stones), a ten-century process of development of Czech architecture can be traced

Monday and Tuesday are days off, from Tuesday to Friday from 12:00 to 18:00, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays - from 10: 00 to 18:00.

Lapidarium will close from November to April for the winter period.
