The main resorts of the Central Mountain System
La Pinilla (La Pinilla) lies at an altitude of 1500 meters at the foot of Pico de Lobo (2,273 m). This is the closest ski resort to the capital (112 km), there are 46 km of tracks, and the upper point of skiing starts at 2,273 m. Slopes are relatively shallow, treeless, constantly treated with snow cannons. The ski season lasts from December until the end of March. The resort is surrounded by the national park with the same name.
