The paragraph of history
The healing properties of the local water were known for a long time, but officially the medical resort of Banya-Kovilyacha became in 1858, when the hotel was opened in just 10 rooms. The heyday of the picturesque Serbian health resort occurred during the reign of King Peter I of Karagorievich, who was treated here in the beginning of the 20th century.
