Khanty-Mansiysk is the administrative center of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra. The city is on the right bank of the Irtysh River, 20 km from the place where it merges with the Ob river. 475 km distance is divided by Khanty-Mansiysk from Tyumen, and 2000 km from Moscow.
