Not far from the main sight of Kolomna - the Kremlin - is the museum of local lore. The institution, created more than 80 years ago, today unites three branches: the estate of the merchants of Lazhechnikovs, the house of the voevoda and the museum of military glory. The Kolomna Museum of Local History offers tourists a chance to get acquainted with the expositions devoted to the history of the city, from the day of its foundation to the present day, as well as to visit various exhibitions telling about the writer-novelist Ivan Lazhechnikov and the Great Patriotic War.
The collection of the Kolomna Museum of Local History has about 30 thousand exhibits, and its attendance can be envied by any other tourist attraction in the city a. Annually, the guests of the museum are more than 60 thousand tourists. Entrance tickets to the Kolomna Local History Museum for adults cost 40 rubles, for children - 25 rubles. Excursion service will cost an additional 60 rubles (40 rubles - the price for young visitors to the museum). Photographing is paid separately - 50 rubles
If you want to look into the departments of the Kolomna Museum of Local Lore, you will have to pay 75 rubles (this is an entrance plus excursion service) for visiting the estate of the Lazhechnikov merchants, and for visiting the museum of military glory - 50 rubles (the price also includes tickets and tour guide services). For children, the fee is set at half the cost.
Kolomna Museum of Local History is open every day from 10.30 to 16.30, except Monday, Tuesday and last Friday of each month.
