The museum is located in a historical building, where in 1930 the NKVD special commandant's office was located. In his exposition: photographs, documents, newspaper publications, biographies, lists of those repressed in Tyva in 1930-1960. 132 of them were shot, among them - the famous lama Mongush Lopsan-Chimit, the developer of one of the variants of the Tuvan writing, who died in 1941

Other expositions of the museum tell about the NKVDs who conducted interrogations and other "investigative actions", and also about the history of the creation of the monument "Unconquered."
