The flooded Buddhist chapel
This Buddhist chapel of the 13th century is carved in a rock on the left bank of the Chaa-Khol River, not far from the village of Urbjun, at an altitude of 4 meters from the foot of Sumy Mountain. In the background, the bas-relief image of Buddha and his two impersonal pupils is cut down, the silhouettes of the two guards are visible on the left and on the right. The chapel is flooded with Sayano-Shushensky reservoir, but during the lowering of the water level the niche becomes visible.
Chapel Saska
Chapel Saska is located in a revered place, once called the "mountain of the gods" . At one time here worshiped the good spirits of the earth, brought "white food" (dairy products), there were amazing stelae, old mounds, Orkhono-Yenisei letters, petroglyphs . In connection with the sinking of the historical and cultural monuments of the Sayano-Shushenskoye reservoir, as well as the first Buddhist monastery, the question arose of creating a new chapel-the Saksa chapel . Its opening took place on May 1, 1995, consecrated it in Buddhist ceremonies amba Lama Tuva with her pupils-khuraaks .

Ustuuhuree Monastery
Ustuu-Khuree - one of the largest temple complexes that were on the territory of Daa kozhuuna, which included more than half of the territory of Tuva and is considered the cradle of statehood. The monastery was one of the richest in the whole region. Tsokchin - the main temple - was built in 1905-1907, similar to it was not only in Tyva, but also in the whole of Russia. In 1930, the Khuree was closed down upon the adoption of a special resolution, and destroyed in 1937.
Kezhege - lost pigtail
The Tes river valley in Erzinsky district - the main habitat of Tuvans from the Soyan tribe. On the right bank of the river there is a sacred tribal mountain - Kezhege. The shamans consider it their main protector. Literally "kezhege" is translated as "man's pigtail", exactly such men wore in the last century. According to tradition, many centuries ago the place was cursed by a "black" shaman, and anyone who dares to kill an animal, a bird, break a twig or think evil is threatened with death.
The mountain itself has a unique ring shape, inside of which runs a small stream. Inside the ring are several stone altars with porcelain figurines and other objects of Buddhist worship. In addition, Kezhege's unique feature is that she has an entrance. In the mountain there are several labyrinths leading to the caves. Here you can make a wish, write it on a piece of paper and leave it between the rocks. After going through the labyrinths of the cave, one can climb to the top of Kezhege
Khaiyraqan Mountain
Hyyrakan is a sacred mountain, which is 105 km from Kyzyl, on the left bank of Ulug-Khem. This word, borrowed from the Tuvan language from Mongolian, means "celestial bear" or "sacred mountain."
This mountain was consecrated during the visit to Tuva on September 21, 1992 by His Holiness the Dalai Lama XIV, as evidenced by a small chapel at the highway
