History and culture
The first traces of a person's stay in this the terrains date back to the 7th-4th centuries BC. e. Kashirskoye ancient settlement - the oldest settlement of the Diakovo culture, which belongs to the early Iron Age. Its representatives lived in the territories of the Moscow, Tver, Vologda and other regions. The first mention of Kashira can be found in the documents of the 14th century, in the spiritual literacy of the son of the Moscow ruler Ivan Kalita. The war, Tatars raids, plague epidemics led to the city being abandoned and built again on the right bank of the Oka in 1619.
However, these were not the latest changes in the structure of the city. In the Soviet period, thanks to the construction of a railway linking Moscow to Kashira, and the state district power station, Novokashirsk, a small town, a staff member serving the station, and part of the area connected with the railway were included in the structure.
How to get to Kashira
The easiest way is to reach Kashira station by train. Every day from Paveletsky Station in Moscow (Paveletskaya metro station), trains depart from early morning until late at night.
