Add a review of the monument to the heroic defenders of Leningrad
The grand opening of the memorial was held on May 9, 1975, on the 30th anniversary of the Victory. The compositional center of the ensemble is a 48-meter granite obelisk, at the base of which there is a sculptural group "Winners."

The gap in the ring symbolizes the breakthrough of the siege of Leningrad . In memory of the heroic deed of the city's defenders there is an eternal fire on the site . Under the ground there is a museum in which the documentary- art exposition .
