Kholui Art Factory of Lacquer Miniature
The factory was founded in 1934 as an artel, which later became a large enterprise with a large assortment of Russian decorative and applied arts products. In the factory, boxes, brooches, portraits, panels, caskets, icons are made. All works are performed with the obligatory preservation of the style and traditions of the Kholui masters. At the factory there is a sightseeing tour of 2 parts: a demonstration of the process of making papier-mache boxes (350 rubles, 45 minutes) and a master class for writing firebird (400 rubles).

The State Museum of Kholui Art
The museum is the cultural center of Kholui. The museum, which celebrated its 50th anniversary, keeps highly artistic and unique works of kholui masters. In his collection works of lacquer miniature painting on papier-mache, icons of the XVIII-XX centuries, wooden sculpture, engravings, old-printed and hand-written books and much more. Ensemble of the Troitskaya and Vvedenskaya churches
The temple complex on the left bank of the river Thesa was formed in the first half of the 18th century and consists of 2 churches - the summer Trinity and the winter Vvedenskaya. The Trinity Church was built in 1748-1750. instead of the former, wooden, with the money of a native Kholui - Astrakhan Bishop Methodius. Later on his "dependents" in 1775 the church of the Introduction was built. According to the legend, the Vvedenskaya church was once transferred to Kholui from a mountain called Vvedenka. Tikhvin Fair
Since 2003 the famous Tikhvin Fair has been revived in Kholui since the 17th century, which takes place every second weekend of July. In these days visitors from the nearest regions come to the village - centers of folk crafts - with gzhel, hohloma, miniatures and hundreds of other handicrafts. Here you can not only buy original author's works, but also have fun, because guests of the fair are waiting for a special entertainment program.
