Mole Antonelliana is a symbol of Turin, which is most often depicted on souvenirs and postcards dedicated to the city. The Mole Antonelliana seems to have disappeared, and Turin will immediately lose a fair amount of its fascination and attraction.
Anton Antoniana Mole is the tallest brick building not only of Turin, but of all Europe. Of course, modern buildings are higher, but they are built of other materials, and they do not have such beauty and harmony as in the Mole Antonelliana. The height of the tower is more than 160 m, of which the tower spire is 47 m.
In 1953, a tornado passed over Italy, which destroyed many buildings, and the Mole Antonelliana tower lost its spire. Reconstruction was carried out only in 1961
In the end, the Jewish community refused to finance the building. The construction was completed already in 1889, after the death of Antonelli. The resulting building was given the name of its creator. It housed the Risorgimento Museum and existed there until 1938, until it was transferred to the Palazzo Carignano.
The National Museum of Cinematography is open to visitors every day except Monday. The mode of operation is all days from 10:00 to 20:00, and on Saturday the museum closes later - at 23:00. The cost of admission is 6, 50 EUR
At the level of 88 m of the Mole Antonelliana there is an observation deck with a magnificent view of the city. You can go up to the observation deck by elevator.
You can reach the Mole Antonelliana by public transport. Buses № 55, 56, 61 and trams № 13 and 15 pass by. To choose a stop, orient yourself on the spot (the object is clearly visible from any point of the city), depending on whether you want to go right outside the tower or decide to walk a couple of stops.
