Varka is a small village on the south coast of Goa, with a snow-white Catholic church, shops, catering and first-class hotels . Being between the beaches of Benaulim and Cavelossim, it boasts a wide coastline, light sand, lack of rocks, rocks and other underwater "joys" ". This place was created for a relaxing holiday . Unlike other resort areas, there is not a huge number of tourists and beach traders . The other side of this holiday is the lack of evening entertainment and" partying "at sunset nya . In order to diversify the holiday, you will need to use the hotel services . For example, at the Radisson can offer beauty and wellness treatments based on traditional Indian methods .

By taxi
The most convenient way to get from the airport to Varka is by taxi. The cost of such a trip is slightly more than 700 INR. Order a taxi is quite simple. At the exit from the airport there are special racks responsible for calling a public taxi with fixed rates. There you can also find a stand where all prices are indicated in advance. Having paid for the trip and having received the corresponding receipt from one of the staff behind the counter, the passenger goes with her to the car and gets to the right place.
By bus
There are several ways to get there by public transport to the resort. The only thing that unites them is numerous transplantations and cheapness in comparison with a taxi ride. The cost of one trip varies from 5 to 20 INR. In the afternoon, buses go half empty. "Rush hours" - early morning and evening
The first way is to cross the road and catch the bus to the intersection bearing the name of the famous pioneer, Vasco da Gama . The journey time to the destination is about 10 minutes . Next, (landmark - bus station) near the market, find a transport to Margao, the administrative center of the southern coast . Get to it on the shuttle or express train, which differs from the usual buses by the absence of stops . The maximum journey time is about an hour (usually about 40 minutes) . Cost of the project yes - about 20 rupees . From Margao you can get to Varka . The bus stops not just at the beach, but slightly aside, so it will be necessary to walk a bit on foot . The second way is all the same, but before the crossroads Vasco da Gama you go on foot or take a taxi .
Also you can get to Varka by public transport from Kolva and Cavelossim.
Cuisine and restaurants
There are several coastal cafes or shelves in Varka, in which you can try traditional Indian cuisine. In particular, seafood. Prices will be much lower than those found in large hotel complexes. If the spicy dishes are not among the favorites, you should first ask to add less spices.
Hotels and guesthouses
The Varka Beach, unlike, for example, the majority of resorts in the northern part of Goa, is designed for those who rent bungalows and rooms in guesthouses prefer hotels. There are both five-star, and less famous and expensive places to stay. Choosing the first option, it is necessary to take into account that, perhaps, the Indian version of a first class hotel will be inferior to similar ones, but in other countries.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions
Varka is a place for relaxation and quiet rest, which can be diversified by trips to nearby beaches or in Margao. You can also visit the local Catholic temple, which is considered to be the oldest building. Photo of Varka (12)
