It is difficult to say where Calangute begins and ends with Baga. It was here, in the sixties of the 20th century, tourism began in Goa. Mainly, thanks to the "children of flowers", or the hippies. Today there are several hotels, a small picturesque beach and a nice river, in the waters of which children are very fond of bathing. For some time, the Saturday evening market has been held here (not bad, but still far from Anjuna).

How to get to Bagi

Dabolim International Airport is just an hour's drive from the resort. The nearest railway station is in Margao. A bus runs from Calangute, the fare is ~ 5 INR (although they are used very lazy, because only 5-10 minutes of pedestrian travel separate the mythical border of Bagi from Calangute.)

Cuisine and Restaurants Bugs

In Baga it's easy to find a good restaurant, and the spread of prices is the most pleasant: from ultra-cheap to simply inexpensive. The local counter is a night barbecue with freshly caught fish.

Good restaurants: The Cavala Seaside Resort (night barbecue), J & A's Little Italy (as it's easy to guess from the name, it prepares Italian cuisine), Lario's Beach Shack (at the end of the beach ), Fiesta is a classy (an expensive Italian restaurant), Brito's, Casa Portuguese, La Resturaunt (French cuisine) and Mooncrest.

Entertainment, excursions and attractions Bagi

Baga is one of the most convenient places to visit all sights Goa. Local travel agencies offer group tours to Old Goa, the capital of the state of Panaji, to the Dudhsagar waterfall (the second largest in India), as well as exciting trips to the jungle with an overnight stay or elephant bathing show. In addition, trips to Hampi, Mumbai, Delhi and to the Taj Mahal are organized from here.

There are many restaurants near the beach, the nightlife is very active there. In general, the beach strip from Fort Aguada to Baga is considered one of the best in Goa, but an unprepared person who has arrived, say, from the deserted beaches of Morjim, the abundance of holidaymakers and providing them with a boring life of local residents can terrify. Those who want to get used to the noise and hectic gradually, you can advise the least crowded area in the area of Kandolim.

The most "clockwork" nightclub here is Tito's Nightclub, opened in 1971. He was a witness of the origin of tourism in Goa

At different times celebrities from all over the world were dancing here, so not being in Tito's will be a big omission. Next to Tito's, is the second most popular nightclub Mambo. Both establishments are open until 3 am. After that, as a rule, all local party-goers move to "Kamaki", which is open until the very morning. Photo Bugs (12)
