Aswem - one of the least crowded beaches in North Goa . Its rare visitors can enjoy a smooth beach with fine sand and lack of rocks, not rare in other places of the resort. . In contrast to the southern coast, the beach is darker from here for a slightly greyish shade of sand that acquires a small blackness . at the place of the confluence of the river because of the silt Pictures are given by large boulders of volcanic origin located on the shore . It is believed that Ashwem can give his visitors the most beautiful in the north parts of Goa sunset . A gentle descent to the water and a fairly clean sea - undoubted merits . As well as the proximity of other beaches . For example, Arambola, considered another relatively small place to relax, or Morjima .

How to get to Ashwem
The beach is located between Mandrem and Morjim, and is easily accessible from both sides - on a scooter or taxi. In case you intend to live directly in Ashvem, then for starters it is necessary to "survive" a flight length of six and a half hours. From Moscow, the flights of the companies Aeroflot and Transaero arrive at Dabolim Airport, located in the homonymous village in Goa. From there you can get to the place in two ways: by taxi, or by public transport.
Search for air tickets to the city of Goa (nearest airport to Ashvemu)
By taxi
The most convenient way to get from the airport to Ashvem - taxi . Order a taxi is quite simple. At the exit from the airport there are special racks responsible for calling a public taxi with fixed rates. There you can also find a stand where all prices are indicated in advance. After paying for the trip and having received the corresponding receipt from one of the staff behind the counter, the passenger goes along with her to the car and gets to the right place. Travel time to Ashwem is about one and a half hours
By bus
There are several ways to get to the resort by public transport. The only thing that unites them is numerous transplantations and cheapness in comparison with a taxi ride. The cost of one trip varies from 5 to 20 INR. In the afternoon, buses go half empty. "Rush hours" - early morning and evening.
The first way is to cross the road and catch the bus to the intersection bearing the name of the famous pioneer, Vasco da Gama . The journey time to the destination is about 10 minutes . Then, going to the stop (landmark - bus station) next to market, find a transport to Panaji . You will have to get there before the shuttle or express train, which differs from the usual buses by the absence of stops . Travel time - about half an hour .From the latter one can go directly to Arambol, however, transportation is very rare, or go to Mapusa, from which it is already easy to get to the beach . Arambola from Mapusa runs a bus (12 INR), which stops 1, 5 km from the beach , on the main road . Once you get to one of the extreme points of the coast, you can either walk to Ashwem (about half an hour), or take a taxi .
The second way is the same, but you go on foot or take a taxi to Vasco da Gama intersection.
Cuisine and restaurants
In Ashvem, it is very pleasant to rest and wander alone along the shore in the absence of annoying merchants - and in general people. Although, despite the almost complete lack of a developed tourist infrastructure, here you can find decent cafes for lunch.
Local cheeks, coastal restaurants, sometimes offer menus at inflated prices. Owners make deals either with taxi drivers bringing tourists strictly to certain places, or with those who rent out a bungalow. In any case, the cost of food in this scenario increases dramatically.
Local cheeks, unlike other establishments, try to "earn extra money" on tourists. For example, the availability of such a service as a free sunbed, with a minimum order in the restaurant is almost absent. The cost of "beach rest" is brought into the common account. As for Indian cuisine, its dishes in Ashvem are not much different from those in other places.
Hotels Ashvem
There are few hotels and guesthouses in Ashvem, and more often spend a day here on other resorts, without spending the night on the beach. For fans of exoticism there are several complexes with bamboo huts directly on the beach, but the prices for accommodation in them are not the lowest. You can also rent a whole house. Its cost will depend on several factors: proximity to the sea, magnitude, length of stay and holiday season.
Monthly payment will cost many times cheaper than a week. Rest in the high season, from mid-December to mid-January, will come in a round sum. Prices are doubling. So, a house with two bedrooms, whose rent is around $ 50 per day, costs $ 100 in the New Year's Eve.
Entertainment, excursions and attractions
One of the popular excursions in Ashvem is a trip to the waterfalls. Departure - early in the morning. During the day, you can visit the jungle, see the waterfall, elephants and, of course, banyan, a sacred tree for Hinduism.
