The Rhine Museum of Local History (Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn) is one of the oldest museums in the country and the largest museum in the Rhineland. The museum collection dates back to the Museum of Antiquities, founded by the order of the Prussian Chancellor Carl August von Gardenberg in 1820.
