Add a review about the Robert Schumann House Museum
The fans of the famous composer Robert Schumann (1810-56) should enjoy a small memorial exhibition dedicated to his work, in the house where the master spent his last years of life. I must say, not the happiest years. It was during this period that the composer received treatment from a psychiatrist after an unsuccessful suicide attempt in 1854.
After his death, a monument was erected near the house, which had been hastily turned into a museum, and began to organize musical festivals named after Shuman.
You can read the memory of the composer by looking at the flowers at the Old Cemetery (Alter Friedhof) on Bornheimer Strasse in the northern part of the city where Schumann and his wife Clara were buried. The mother of Beethoven, Maria-Magdalene, also rests there,
