Chateau Lurie "Fairmont" is a beautiful castle hotel built in the style of French Gothic . The amazing building of Indian limestone with copper roofs and pointed spiers stands on the Rideau Canal overlooking the river . The hotel has a total of 429 rooms, as well as the main dining room overlooking the Park of the Majors Hill, the Adam Hall with the Wedgwood blue design, the Lurie Hall with Romanesque columns, the ballroom, decorated in imperial style, and the drawing room, trimmed with cream -gold ornaments .
