In 1997, the eight-seater cable car Top-Express connected the previously independent regions of Hochgurgl and Obergurgl, forming a single ski region with 110 km of trails and 24 lifts. 35 km of blue, 55 km of red and 20 km of black trails are equipped in the integrated skiing area.

Ottztal Nature Park
From the surrounding attractions of interest is the natural park of Ottztal (Naturpark Oetztal), Otori is considered one of the youngest parks in Austria - the park was founded in 2006. There are cedar forests, Biosphärenpark Gurgler Kamm Biosphere Reserve and Piburg Lake, located on its territory
The territory of the park covers about 380 square meters of alpine terrain, a third of which is covered by glaciers and mountains. In 1991, on the territory of the park at an altitude of 3,200 m, an ice mummy of a chalcolithic man was discovered, known as Ottsi and considered the oldest mummy of a man found in Europe.
