Routes
The ski season in Imst lasts from mid-December to mid-March. The local slopes belong to the Imster Bergbahnen region, numbering about 8 km of mountain slopes and 34 km of plain ski trails (and cross country in summer). Of these, 2 km are "given" under the black and blue routes, and 4 km are considered red. There is an illuminated track for night skiing and areas for freeriding on the slopes of Ed-Karlekopf (2565 m) and Hintere-Platteinspitze (2723 m). However, there is no separate zone for snowboarders (they have to share the route with the skiers).
Trails are served by 4 lifts (2 towers and chairlifts). The difference in altitude on the slopes is from 2121 m (Forderes-Alphoch) to 830 m (Hoch Imst).
Alpine Coaster zone (the same theme park in the summer) operates along the main routes. There are lighted tracks Untermarkt Alm for night skiing (from 18.30 to 02.00) and Obermarkt Alm (from 18.30 to 21.30), as well as a two-kilometer total route Teilwiesen-Rotanger (Tylwizen-Rotanger)

Entertainment, excursions and attractions Imsta
Imst as well as Salzburg or Bad Reichenhall is considered a city of fountains. There are forty-three of them all over the city. In addition to the fountains, Imst also looks at museum exhibits and churches. The last ones number about ten, but the most famous are the Church of St. Johann at the Capuchin Monastery and the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the 13th century built with the highest spire in the Tyrol.
In 1949, in one of the Imst quarters, Hermann Gmeiner founded the first SOS village for orphans. The idea and the Austrian experience turned out to be so successful that today the SOS-Kinderdörfer organization has more than 450 similar villages around the world.
Even in the warm season of the year Imst comes to rafting classes and to ride on a natural "roller coaster" in the Alpine Coaster mountain park (trailers follow along the route laid on the slopes with elevations from 500 to 1500 m) . Imst's photo (11)
